| China is the place to see how so many people crowd into so few large cities, how such an ancient country looks so brand new, and how the same people live so differently from the north to the south, from city to the countryside. If I were you, I would pick a city at random and fly in to stay a couple of days. If I liked it, I would stay a few more days. Otherwise, move onto another one. |

GUEST24164 | thanks for the advice. I just worry that if I don't plan out a somewhat structured travel itinerary, 1.3billion people might take my train tickets and plane tickets :) |

| China is a vast country with diversified climate, dialect, cuizine, customs, etc. Staying in one city gives you a glimpse of that city only. But doing all those cities you listed above would be a tough task as you would be travelling all day long on the road and see nothing but the highway. I don't quite understand your worries. Are you bothered about the safety? The population is big and the cities are crowded but generally speaking, the country is safe. You need to take reasonable precautions though as you do when travelling in any other countries around the world. Stay away from deserted streets or lanes, travel with a companion, do not come out and roam the cities in the night ... Quote:Originally Posted by GUEST24164 thanks for the advice.
