Where did you stay during your visit to Guangzhou.

I intend to travel to Guangzhou in mid January 2005 for about 2 weeks. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you

The best place to stay in Guangzhou is in Shamian Island.
Go to Youth Hostel
2 Shamian 4 Jie.
Room between 60/170 Rmb
near Youth hostel you've Shamian Hotel

food is never a problem since there are too many choices, fried rice noodle, cereal, dim sum, wonton noodles.

do you mean ou want to eat in the hotle where you will live or eat outside?
If the latter one, i will recommend the Sea Port Restaurant. The quality and taste of the food are extremely good. And the price is relatively cheap! Here every dish is worth trying.
Its address: 2-3/F Zhongyi City Garden no 121 Linhe East Rd.
