This section is located near Beijing and it is maybe the most challenging and the most beautiful part of the Great Wall. I am planning to do that some weekend in April-2026. You need to be prepared for this difficult section; it's much more challenging than Badaling and even more challenging than Jinshanling etc. You need to be able to leave Beijing on Saturday, stay in Xizhazi (西栅子) Village or Jiushuikeng (旧水坑）Village for a night and then have Sunday completely free so you don't have to rush back to Beijing for a train, plane, etc. My WeChat: AlexanderPianoSPB Please feel free to contact.
