Depends on what kind of gifts you're shopping for? For "Chinesey" items, try Panjiayuan market. Take metro line 10 to the southern terminus (Jinsong) and it's about 20 mins walk from there.

Thermal innerwear, sweaters, down coat, scarf, gloves etc.
