BEIJINGGJM, I appreciate the info on taking the train to and from Badaling. I should take that route next time. The first time I went there in 2003, I went with a tour group. I haven't read yet then about the 360degree Movie Theatre. We failed to see the Great Wall constructions and repairs in a movie. It would have been nice. I would like to see the wall again in that area but i want to do it by my lonesome self. I want to do it leisurely next time, without worrying about the time we will be herded back to the bus for the ride home. I am curious though if there is any such access to Simatai Great wall similar to that of Badaling, I mean by way of train. I would appreciate the added info.

Here's a question for Macao omnibus experts. :0) Starting Point A : Macao Ferry Terminal Destination Point B: Pousada Coloane Beach Hotel (Cheoc Van Beach at Coloane, Macao) Can you outline a bus route (complete with fares) that will get us from point A to point B? I realize we may need to take more than one bus. Alternatively, we would consider a taxi from pt. A to pt. B. Is this a better idea for a new visitor to Macao? Thanks very much.

No, not possible, duh! If you're travelling alone, you should go for the youth hostel tours as they're usually of better quality ie no shopping stops.
