I hope to be on the Mainland in September. I will be going for certain to Hong Kong, Bejing, Xi'an...and I am still deciding on other cities.

It has become much harder to choose since I found TCG!

To California,
I saw your photo album, and I wondered which section of Great Wall you haven't covered around Beijing:-)

To Conny,
I agree, when we are on a budget and we have restricted schedule, transportation is one of the biggest concern, traveling by train is economical but time-consuming, traveling by flight is fast but expensive:-), Guilin is so far away...

To May,
Both Yunnan and Jiuzhaigou attract me as much as they attract you:-) I'm looking forward to visiting these two places, too. We have May Day holidays and National Holidays not great time but good enough, though. Thank God!

Conny, group tour by travel services might be cheaper, but backpacking traveling is even cheaper than joining in a group tour. Have you ever thought of organizing a group of pals to go with you?

Sometimes, some travel agencies offer 'fetching price', that's right, but you need to make sure what the price includes, and what not.

My original plan is to visit Huangshan. But since I'd visited China in 2002, 2004 & 2005, I will give it a miss this year. I'm planning for an 11-day Canadian Rockies tour sometime in Oct 06.
