train tickets for guangzhou to shanghai

hello
is it difficult to get sleepers from guangzhou to shanghai? any reputable agencies that will be able to help prebook the tickets? of course, prices should be reasonable. thanks! :)

Hi Newbird,

I am going to be taking the train from Shanghai to Guangzhou and back again sometime this year. My wife and I will be going to Guangzhou and from what she told me you have to purchase the tickets in advance. She is still in Shanghai and I don't know how much the tickets are. Maybe someone else can help you with that. I would like to know also.

Here are the three daily trains. You can't 'book' tickets but you can buy them a few days in advance of your travel.

Sorry there is only two direct trains there. you can do a search in the opposite direction.

You have to buy it from the ticket office or railway station.It is easy to do!

the trains that are available from guangzhou to shanghai are k48, k100A and k100B.

You can buy tickets (as I understand it) from this website. www.seat61.com/china.html. If you want to check the train timetables, its all in this website. Another site that may help is the www.english.ctrip.com.

I am about to book the trip from GZ to shanghai as well. Good luck
