 | In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster But in front of the person you like , you get happy. In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring But in front of the person you like, winter is just a beautiful winter. If you look into the eyes of the one you love, you blush But if you look into the eyes of the one you like, you smile. In front of the person you love, you can' t say everything on your mind But in front of the person you like, you can. In front of the person you love, you tend to get shy But in front of the person you like, you can show your ownself. Then person you love comes into your mind every 2 minutes. You can't look straight into the eyes of the one you love But you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like. When the one you love is crying, you cry with them But when the one you like is crying, you end up comforting. The feeling of love starts from the eye And the feeling of like starts from the ear. So if you stop liking a person you used to like All you need to do is cover your ears, But if you try to close your eyes Love turns into a drop of tear and remains in your heart forever after. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, the forum has been unusually quiet since the beginning of this week, are you all waiting till the moderators off on weekends and play tricks again? | Hi, Loveisverb !! With respect to your comment on “relevance“, I think that the scope of what is relevant, always becomes more expansive and flexible, when the subject matter is one of kindness and is positive in its appeal to human nature, rather than an issue which is negative, and put forth, only to create divisiveness. :) :) Maybe the question could be [also] framed as: Are there differences in the Western and Asian/Chinese cultures, in the meaning of like vs. love, and how the terms are used in daily life, in the respective cultures ?? It has been my perception that the word “like”, has more strength in its connotation and maybe has more meaning/importance in the Chinese vernacular than in the Western (English speaking) culture ??? And yes, I also agree with Pinetree, each of the points listed by Loveisverb, may be viewed differently, depending on the individual’s personality and emotional makeup; and in that regard, there is no wrong or right. Great thread/issue, Loveisverb !!! |

| Yes, there is a huge difference between Like and Love. Love is the deeper by far. We have no control over our likes, but we have full control over our power to love. I can like things and experiences. I can love only persons. Let there be more love in our world. |

If you look into the eyes of the one you love, you smile, and then you blush But if you look into the eyes of the one you like, you just smile. In front of the person you love, you can' t say everything on your mind. (I think this becomes possible over time) But in front of the person you like, you can. In front of the person you love, you tend to get shy (True, but again I think it lessens with time) But in front of the person you like, you can show your ownself. Then person you love comes into your mind every 2 minutes. You can't look straight into the eyes of the one you love (Not in the beginning, but later, you can't tear your eyes away) But you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like. When the one you love is crying, you cry with them, and then you try to comfort them But when the one you like is crying, you end up comforting. The feeling of love starts from the eye And the feeling of like starts from the ear.
