 | The airticket from Kunming to Lijiang is from 680 RMB t0 1010 RMB for July 26th. If you want to take bus, you can buy the ticket on the left of their airport entrance. And you will be transported to bus station for free. There you can take luxurious bus from Kunming to Lijiang. It is 556 kilometers from Kunming to Lijiang. The ticket price is CNY 227 and takes around 7.5 hours. Depart time: 08:30 09:30 13:00 14:30 Or you can take a taxi from the airport to Kunming West Bus Station. There are many buses to Lijiang. It departs every an hour. After 18:00, only sleeping buses are available. Ticket Price: 158-190 RMB( it depends on what kind of bus you take). Time:8-10 hours. Third choice: take a taxi from airport to Kunming Railway Station. It costs around 20 RMB.You can take a train to Lijiang. The K9606/7 train leaves at 22:00 at night. When searching for a train connection, I found that there is such train: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/trainBook.asp?no=K9608%2FK9605&s=LIJIANG+EAST%0D%0A&e=KUNMING but when I try to book it, it does not work (there is no time of departure and arrival given, and no price of the ticket). In comparison, for the journey from Kiunming to Lijiang (http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/trainBook.asp?no=K9606%2FK9607&s=KUNMING&e=LIJIANG+EAST%0D%0A) there are the times, and the price. Does this mean, that the train from Lijiang to Kunming does not operate? Thanks for any advice! |

Is it about a 12hr trip? And can you buy bus tickets at Kunming airport or the bus station on the day? How far are the bus terminals from the airport? I actually wanted to fly to Shangri-La but it looks like there are no flights available. Rang the airport and they said that they might schedule more flights closer to the date (August 2011 for me). Is that usually the case? Likewise, is it easy to get a bus or plane from Lijiang back to Kunming? Thanks for your help! |
