| Hi I will be in Guangzhou from 2 June; can someone tell me are the taxi by meter or is the fare by negotiating. I will be staying at Zhanqianheng Road, Guangzhou 510010 near the Train station (Not East) is this close to the replica market area? Thanks for any help it is very much appreciated Last question is there any Airport departure when leaving China via Guangzhou |

| Taxis go by meter. Yes, you're close to the wholesale markets. I think you missed out the word "tax" in your last question? There's no more airport departure tax collected at the airport as it has been already included in the price of the flight ticket. |

| Hi Everyone I leave for Guangzhou in 3 days can some kind member help me with these questions: Is US$ accepted? Or only local Currency.(what’s the local exchange rate approx on the US$) Is there money Exchange (good rate of ex) at the airport or better to use banks in the City etc How to get a bus ticket at the airport for trip to main train station (not East) What the bus/route number Whats the last bus dept (I arrive 23.00) ..same going back to airport; where to buy ticket near Main train station to airport & bus/route number Any pickpocket protection tips are mobiles and cameras also picked As always thanks in advance |

| Don't bother using USD, use RMB. It's currently around 1:6.8 for USD:RMB, check out the rates online. The exchange rate is fixed so it doesn't make a difference where you do the exchange. Pay for airport shuttle on the bus itself. There're buses leaving the airport as long as there're flights arriving. Airport shuttle no.1 goes to Guangzhou main train station. |
