Hey, I checked the train schedule. There are three trains from Shanghai to Nanning but they all depart from Shanghai South Railway Station. So you need to take airport shuttle bus line 7 at Pudong airport to Shanghai South Railway Station. It costs CNY 20 and takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.

By the way, better book the ticket in advance. Search the trains and try to book it at the following page:

hi Ellyse,

i will arriving shanghai south railway station from guilin about 15:07PM with T train. want to go to east nanjing by subway. is it a rush hour and crowd?? we (2 people) with 2 medium luggage and small backpack. or better to take bus?? if take a bus, what is a bus number??

It is not a rush hour. People are still in their office at 1507. So I think it won't be too crowded on the subway (line 1 and then change to line 2 at People's square).

Walk to 北洋泾路 staion and take subway line 6 to 世纪大道 and then take subway line 2 to Pudong Airport.
