| For Pudong airport -- Shanghai South train station, either take a taxi (around 150-180 RMB, a little under an hour, depending on traffic conditions) or airport shuttle no.7 (20 RMB/pax, around 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions). Thus, if your flight arrives at Pudong airport at 1600, it's not realistic to expect to be able to reach Shanghai South train station any earlier than 1730... most probably around 1800 or even 1830, since it'll be rush hour. Besides, you still need to queue up and buy tickets, assuming tickets aren't sold out for what you want to take. No D ("bullet") trains at that time of day. Try to aim for K79 (1917--2238, 3h21min) or K11/K14 (1929--2325, 3h56min). There're also earlier trains K351/K354 (1823--2132, 3h09min) and K197/K200 (1831--2209, 3h38min), but I doubt you'll be able to make it in time. Hard seat on any of these should cost 47 RMB, and there're no better seats available. |

GUESTKHAN | hi is there any direct train from yiwu to shanghai pudong airport? if no how to go. pls reply |

| Maglev costs 40 RMB/pax if you can show a plane ticket for the day of travel, otherwise it's 50 RMB/pax. Fares quoted are one-way. There's no direct train from Yiwu to Pudong airport, simply because Pudong airport has no train station! There're 2 direct buses daily from Yiwu's Binwang long-distance bus station to Pudong airport. Otherwise, take a bus or train to Shanghai South station, then airport shuttle no.7 (20 RMB/pax, 1+ hour journey time) or a taxi (around 160-180 RMB, 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions) to Pudong airport. If you want to ask with more specific details about your arrival/departure times, email me at yahoo.com|ellyse99 and put "TravelChinaGuide" and your own username in the subject line. |

| Excuse me, it seems that you never bother reading the previous answers, all your questions have been answered already!!! Taxi would cost around 160-180 RMB depending on traffic conditions. Airport shuttle no.7 is NOT FREE, fare is 20 RMB/pax. Look for the signs directing you to the airport shuttles at the arrivals concourse of Pudong airport. |

| Is your cruise ship arriving at the Shanghai International Cruise Terminal which's north of the Bund, or somewhere else? Yes, there's left luggage service at Shanghai Pudong airport. It's rather a long way to the airport though. How many of you are there and how much luggage do you have? Please email directly to yahoo.com|ellyse99 and put "TravelChinaGuide" and your own username in the subject line, thanks. |
