Graffiti in foreign countries is a kind of popular culture. The young boys and girls are crazy about it. Now, it has becom popular in China, especially in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai. In Beijing, the Beijing Wall is the most famous representative of the graffiti workers.

When mentioned graffiti, some people regard it as a kind of arts. Others think that those people just doodle on the wall. My friends, how do you think of Graffiti, a kind of art or not?

Let's see some pictures first, and then you can air your opinions.

i don't know about the rest of the world!! but in the Usa graffiti is synonymous of inner city gangs, crime, drugs and mostly used by people with bad reputation.

graffiti is a signal of decay in the western and third world cities.

with very little exemptions and not that many.

if you come to the USA and happen to walk in to a part of the city and you see a lot of graffiti, i recommend you to get out of there soon

as you can!! because chances are, it is not a safe part of the city.

most everywhere in the USA graffiti is against the law.

I agree with JCNILE it is the same here in the UK, it is unsightly, I hope China stops this practice.

It seems that graffiti are not welcomed in the west. Why is it popular in China?

I don't think it's popular in China, YVONNE. It's just a new thing and less people are interested in it. The one KATRINA mentioned above is just a special perform for Olympics.
