You are right, BBQQ. But some individuals like graffiti very much. Maybe they want to show their individualities.

There is some artful graffiti, but usually it does look as good as the property it defaces.

Not all the graffiti are related to crimes and violence. Using graffiti to pubilize Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is quite creative.

Graffiti has been with us for thousands of years. It’s been found on some of the buildings in Pompey. I think some of it is very clever and some of it does show some extremely good artistic skill level. My problem with it is simply that the “artist” does not own the wall or the bus or train that their work of expression is painted on. Graffiti your own but leave mine alone please. Yes I have been visited by people who wish to “express them self’s” Dodger

Mt. Rushmore is an early example of American graffiti - even though it is pretty remarkable.

"Graffiti your own but leave mine alone please. Yes I have been visited by people who wish to “express them self’s”" Dodger, you have been "disturbed" by some "artists"? May I know what they painted on your wall? I just saw them painting on the walls of deserted bulidings! That is a good way. However, no one will go there to see their "masterpiece". That's why they choose to make Graffiti in cities.

Although I agree that some graffiti are ugly, I think those Beijing graffiti are nicely done. I like them.

BBQQ, Some artists decided that my garage doors needed “their expression “ on them. It cost me time any money to have their “expressions” removed. I don’t have a problem with people expressing them self’s. Just get a job, save your money, buy a wall and then paint it. Dodger.
