yes you need visa to enter any part of mainland China. Most ASEAN nationals are allowed to stay without visa 90 days in Hong Kong and 30 days in Macau.

You will not actually be visiting HK, you will stay in the airport so there is no visa required for HK.

Yes you will need a visa for China. Assuming u r a US citizen, apply for a multi-entry as all visas are the same price for US citizens.

GUEST72387 It is true that the information posted in the website is not true at most of the time. I am being ask to go here and there for documentations and etc. Really frustrating and not pleased with it.
