Hi Anna. You sound "good and lovely" too. However, I think you need a dating site, not a forum.

Hi John, It is hard to say just how long it will take. I am coming up on my first anniversary and my wife is still in China. Admittedly some of the delay has come from our own doing. I tried to figure out how to do this myself, but figured I needed a lawyer. First my lawyer filed an I-130, along with other forms needed for the process, then a couple of months later he asked if I would like to file a I-129 form for a K-3 visa. The I-129 may save a few months, so that is something you need to be aware of. Make sure you take the forms that she will need to sign with you. I am hoping that she will be here in the USA in the spring, that’s about a year after I first filed the I-130. It is a long and confusing process, so be patient. I hope this helps and I wish you well. If you have other questions, just ask, I’m more than happy to share what little I have found out about this process. Rob

I was in China for just 8 days before I was married. There was never any mention of a waiting period. Rob
