| Donghai bridge does NOT run between Shanghai and Ningbo. It runs to Luchao port which's in a small island SE of Shanghai. Take airport shuttle no.7 to Shanghai South station. Fare is 20 RMB/pax, journey time 1+ hour. If your flight arrives at 1545, you should be able to reach by 1830. There're buses from Shanghai South long-distance bus station to Ningbo every 30 mins till 2030. Fare is 99 RMB/pax, journey time around 2.5 hours. |

| Fastest way would be to hire a vehicle and driver, but that method is too exorbitant for most of us. Other than that, bus is probably the fastest option. As I said above, you need to go to Shanghai South long-distance bus station -- this is the one next to Shanghai South train station, nowhere near Shanghai MAIN train station. If you can wait till 0750 (earliest departure), you can take take airport shuttle no.7 to Shanghai South station for 20 RMB/pax, journey time 1+ hour. Otherwise, take a taxi for about 160 RMB, journey time probably around 40 mins. The earliest bus departures that you could catch to Ningbo, from Shanghai South long-distance bus station, are 0740, 0800, 0820, 0840, 0855, 0910, 0925, 0940, 0955, 1010 etc. Any more queries, please email me at yahoo.com|ellyse99 and put "TravelChinaGuide" and your own username in the subject line. |

| Not going to comment on whether the schedule you posted is outdated or not. But I wouldn't recommend going to that long-distance bus station as it wouldn't save you any money or time. That long-distance bus station is in the north part of town, and you'll have to go round to the southwest part of town (ie where Shanghai South long-distance bus station is situated near) in order to get out of Shanghai, which means that you'll spend extra time (perhaps half an hour more) to get out of Shanghai's traffic. In addition, Ningbo is to the south, so it would make more sense to start closer to the direction that you want to travel in! |

| Take airport shuttle no.7 to Shanghai South station. Fare is 20 RMB/pax, journey time 1+ hour. If you think your luggage is too troublesome for you to handle getting on and off the airport shuttle without help, take a taxi direct to Shanghai South long-distance bus station (上海长途汽车南站) for around 160-180 RMB. Have the destination in Chinese characters for everyone's benefit. If your flight arrives at 1145, you should be able to reach by 1400. There will be buses every 15 mins from 1400 to 1600 so I'm sure you'll be able to catch one of those. (Yes, there're still other departures after 1600, just different frequency.) Fare is 99 RMB/pax, journey time around 2.5 hours. |

GUESTBARRY | Hi, I am a Guangzhou resident and would like to know how long do the Buses from Shanghai to Ningbo take, using the new bridge to cross the creek. |

| Creek?! I think that's far bigger than a "creek". Shanghai -- Ningbo now takes about 2.5 hours by bus. |
