GUESTNANCY Hi, once again, it is hard to say but make sure do not mention that in your application for a visa to China. If they know about it, you will be surely refused visa.

You shouldn't, I wouldn't tell them, although I did at the time. It's not till you are on probation that it becomes difficult to travel (at least if U.S. citizen). I traveled to China my first time on probation. I needed to jump through a lot of hoops to get the judge to sign off on it and specifically word Japan and China with dates. Upon entry into the U.S. they had my record and knew I had a record. I had to present that paperwork to them to pass. I wouldn't think you are in such a system until after you are sentenced/convicted.

GUEST94711 OK,
So I have read this thread from the very beginning. I committed my crime back in 9-26-1996. I was convicted in March 6 2001 of Wire Fraud. Sentenced to 15 months with 2 years supervised release. My girl friend is from china and here in US as full resident. We are expecting and wanted to go there while we can still travel. I want to say no but everything in me says I must say yes. I might be screwing myself but I just don't want to lie, I'm way passed that kind of behavior.

I want to go and have considered checking no. I just can't do it. It is eating me up inside but I just have to say yes and let the chips fall where they may. I will be walking into the Houston embassy tomorrow or Tuesday if I can get my flight plans sent to me.

GUEST38592 I know a multiple felon who was approved for Z with (not admitted to). It is possible. An agent might help to scoot things along quickly.

GUESTALVIN Hi, never mention this into your application form. Actually, there is no check on this when you submit your application form. Anyway, you can declare it if you want.

GUEST19170 I have read all 37 pages of this thread, Please let me know if anybody has any advise for this situation.

I applied for my tourist visa through the D.C embassy in person. I checked no, on the record box. Paid for regular service, got my visa back in 5 days, no problem.

Now I am applying for my z-visa to teach english, so I can be with my fiance who is a Chinese national living in Beijing. Eventually we will apply for a US-K1 fiance visa so she can come back to the states with me.

I was convicted of underage drinking while driving almost 7 years ago. I also have a dismissed paraphernalia charge from around the same time. I want to check yes, this time and explain what happened. So we will not have issues with the k1-fiance visa in the future.

When you apply for a k1-fiance visa to the U.S. The U.S does a thorough background check on you, and forwards it to the embassy in Beijing. When your fiance is called in for her fiance visa interview. This information is disclosed both to the embassy and your fiance.

My fiance knows I have a record, and I have already entered china on a tourist visa after checking "no" on the box.

Question 1: Will they automatically reject my z-visa application if i say yes this time? since I said no for my tourist visa...

Question 2: It seems like china does not forgive drug related charges, so my paraphernalia charge might get me rejected automatically. Even though it was dismissed, it would still show up on a background check. any comments?

Question 3: If i enter china on a z-visa after checking "no" on the application. Will I be deported when the embassy receives my background from the U.S. So my fiance can receive her k1-fiance visa to the U.S?????

Question 4: It seems like the consensus is that they do not check for z-visas, but does anybody have a solid answer on if they will check your background for a z-visa application???

Sorry this was so long,

Merry Christmas everybody!
