Hey everyone,

Mid-Autumn is coming. Are you ready? Have you prepared delicious moon cakes for the festival? Wow, I have already smelt the fragrance. It's a pity that I havn't bought any moon cake, neither I received any.

Mid-Autumn Day is a special occasion of family reunion. Sitting together with your family members and relatives, tasting the sweet and delicious moon cakes in the resplendent moonlight will be a bliss.

Well, in the coming days, you shoud care much about the weather. If the weather becomes gloomy, certainly, you will feel gloomy, too, since you will miss out the beautiful moonlight and the beauty " Chang'e".

Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival indicates Chinese People's adoration of the moon in the ancient times, which is different from ancient Greeks who worshiped the Sun.

By the way, don't forget to have some pomegranates. It is as important as moon cakes for Chinese at Mid-Autumn Festival.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Cheers

To be exact, the Mid Autumn Festival is next Tuesday the 25th.

It's a full moon in the most gentle time of the year, and it's certainly a festival of the nightkind, it is known to us also as the "Lantern festival"....

Last weekend it was already gentle time of the year to view the crescent moon

I received a box of moon cakes from China just yesterday! Four nice moon cakes in a tin box. I think the moon cakes were not as costly as the shipping; it cost 400 RMB to ship the moon cakes to Montana!!!

Wow, Griz,

You make me surprised! Four moon cakes cost you 400 RMB to ship them. You are right " the moon cakes were not as costly as the shipping".

Is there no moon cake in Montana? A little bit extravagant, haha!

GUEST81108 Hi guyz,

Wondering where the locals are partying tonight?

As, though I am a foreigner, I'm not interested in a touristy tasting Moon Festival.

Any thoughts?

Hi GUEST81108,

"I'm not interested in a touristy tasting Moon Festival"?

I am not interested in "tasting moon", either, because I know it is possible for me to reach the moon.
Well, I am interested in easting moon CAKES. Haha! I have got a moon cake with strawberry flavor. Do you smell the flavor?

Since it is an occasion of family reunion, most locals would stayed with their family members at home or outdoor to enjoy the shining beautiful full moon. While, if you don't stay with your family in China, you can gathered with your friends somewhere, preferably outdoor, chatting and tasting moon cakes under the moon. Is it a wonderful thing?

Several hours later, the full moon will rise. How big is your mooncake?

The following man makes the biggest moon cake in China. The gigantic 8.15-meter in diameter, 25,000-kilogram dessert was divided into 10 different sections.

Xie Daoyun shows two wooden molds used to make mooncakes. The 37-year-old is one of the best mooncake bakers in the country
