'Roligans'? Never heard of it before. It seems that they are totally different from hooligans. They just enjoy football and Carlsberg beer, not fighting or destroying cars on the streets like those football hooligans. BTW, what is Carlsberg made from? I know that beer is made from barley. But how about Carlsberg? What is it?

Cheers, Alan! After chatting with you, I have learned that you are a true and loyal soccer fan, playing football and managing a local football club. You are really great.

Thanks Kevin, that was all in the past back in my home town in Somerset, I have lived in London for the last 12 years and no longer involved in football other than my supporting Bristol Rovers, Man Utd and England of course.

You are welcome, Alan.

From your words, I see that you are still enthusiastic about football. That's enough. BTW, England is one of my favourite soccer teams. David Beckham is also my favourite footballer. Unluckily, it might be impossible to see him fighting for England. Why do you support Bristol Rovers and Man Utd? Other football clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are also good. Are there any special reasons?

I have supported Bristol Rovers since 1963 and had a trial for them in 1967 as a goalkeeper but I was too short then, I was only 4' 10" so I was too easy to chip, now I'm just under 5' 10 " still short by todays standards.
Man Utd I have followed since 1968 and they played Bristol Rovers on my 21st Birthday in 1972 in a cup match, we drew and beat Utd in the replay at Old Trafford.

Yes, Kevin, Carlsberg is lager made from barley as well as other famous Danish beer, Tuborg. Carlsberg tastes about the same - about - like Heineken, which I think You know is Dutch beer, lager as well.

And yes, Danish roligans are just that, only having fun and enjoying football.
Besides, Denmark is a beautiful small country. (that has nothing to do with football, heh)

Wow, that match must be very interesting and fierce. I wasn't born at that time. Perhaps, it was the best birthday gift to you.

Thanks for your explanation, Carlos. Since I do not drink, I am not familiar with those beers. I can't get used to beer's taste--a little bit bitter. My favourite are orange juice and Pepsi coke. I have heard that the natural scenery in Northern Europe is very charming. However, it is too cold there. Given a chance, I would go travelling there to appreciate its wonderful landscape.

It certainly made memorable, I think! a lot of lager drank that night, I can't remember how many but well into double figures, less than my record of 28 pints though.

28 pints? Wow, how can you make it? If you attend a competition for drinking beer, I guess that it is no doubt that you will be the champion.

Kevin,
it is not cold here in summer. Must be a masochist if wants to come here in winter. It is enough to live here, heh. If I lived somewhere else, I would stay away from here in wintertime.
Well, I think Canadians maybe would like it here in winter, because it is so warm here. Sorry Canadaguy and others ;-)
