Dear BBQQ
Have you seen how the Arabs hug one another? They are Asians too. Some of the men even walk holding hands. It is quite interesting to observe.

I remember that we learned a lesson about Arabian Courtesy when I in high school. Unfortunately, I almost forgot what I learned.

I also learnt when I was in primary school about their hospitality for 3 days. They have words written from right to let and stretchable. Many Chinese akhund mastered Arabic calligraphy, and I have seen some in Beijing and Shandong.

Yes, my mother tongue is Chinese. But I still can speak the dialect in our region. When my friends visit my home, I speak mandarin to my friends, and dialect to my parents. My friends can't understand what I said to my parents.

Yes, we also have many Malay dialects in almost every state. We have 13 states in Malaysia and Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan. The northern states which four of them are bordering Thailand have thicker accents and dialects sometimes not easy for other Malaysians to understand.

Wan,

That's why we need an official language. China has 55 ethnic groups excluding Han people. Chinese/mandarin is the official language. People from different ethnic groups can communicate with each other in Chinese. What's your official language?
