He changed his shoes and prepared for the competition. However, we couldn't see him smile. In his previous competitions, he never looked so painful.

Some people said Liu Xiang shouldn't withdraw from the race. If he couldn't run, he just finished his race by walking. Some even asked if Liu Xiang had the right to retreat. I just wonder if these people have brain problems. They might be happy to see that Liu Xiang became handicapped and couldn't take part in the games in the future. Or they were angry that they spent several thousand yuan to watch the games but finally saw nothing because Liu Xiang withdrew. They should understand that Liu Xiang didn't force them to spend so much money to watch the match. They were voluntary.

When Du Li lost in the 10 meter air rifle, people were too generous and seldom criticized her. When Shi Zhiyong (a weightlifter) and Cheng Yibing (a gymnast) withdrew from the competition, no one criticized them too. But why did they become mad when Liu Xiang withdrew? Why couldn't they be generous again?

LOL! Some fans are just plain idiotic. There is no cure for that. Even brain surgery won't help. He has every right to withdraw unless he signed a contract that he will not withdraw no matter what. I don't know what it is about these games that people think is worth dying for.

Well, those scalpers will lose a lot, hehe. They bought the tickets for 110 meter hurdles final and wanted to sell at higher prices to make money. However, China's Liu Xiang and US's Trammell both withdrew. If there is no accident, Robles will claim the champion. The audience will be fewer in the final. It is said that Liu Xiang's commercial value has shrunk 3 billion RMB. The sponsors also suffer a lot.

Did you notice Liu Xiang's race number? It is 1356, suggesting 1.3 billion Chinese people and 56 peoples. How could he stand the pressure from 1.3 billion people? High expectations sometimes can kill an athletes. Li Ning is a good example. At Los Angeles Olympics, he won 3 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze. Suddendly, he became China's hero. However, at Seoul Olympics, he didn't win any medal. When he came back, he was criticized by the whole nation.

As for Liu Xiang,if he couldn't win the gold medal of the 110 meters hurdles (the premise is that he is healthy and didn't quit), it is still a failure. He will be criticized too.
