One of my friend is very fond of washabi. She tells me that she like the taste and enjoy the moment when tears are running down her face. It is hard for me to understand this. When I smell washabi, my tears are almost running down my face. Never think that I will eat it. Do you like eating washabi?

By the way, I also find that Chinese people are fond of cumin. When making barbecued steaks, the cook often add cumin as an ingredient. It is said that it can get rid of the flavour of the meat because it smells fragrant. Many people use it as a flavour when cooking dishes. Did you eat deep fried beef with cumin before? I had it before but didn't like it very much. What about you?

I don't like Washabi. Roast meat with cumin is delicious. I like it. As for cooking, I never add cumin as an ingredient.

Most Wasabi served is really horse radish with green coloring. Real Wasabi is expensive and I don't think I have had it. It's flavor is said to be very strong but quickly dissipating but Horse Radish flavor lasts longer.

I like Wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger with sushi and sashimi. But OMG, too much Wasabi will turn your colon into a semi-colon!!!

Cumin seeds are famous among South Asians for their cooking, and they do not use cumin seeds alone but mix with other spices such as star anise, anise seeds and coriander seeds. I found some Indian restaurtants that provide good food in Guangzhou. Some Chinese from Xinjiang roasted their mutton or beef sticks using cumin without other additional spices, thus the meat is not as tasteful as Indonesian or Malaysian sate.
