Travelling from Hong Kong to Foshan, best method?

Most nationalities are eligible for visa-on-arrival for Hong Kong, so I think you should qualify for that.
"Best" is subjective. I would suggest that you try the direct train.

"Best" is subjective. How many of you are there and how much luggage do you have?
I would suggest perhaps taking a bus from Hong Kong airport to Foshan (unfortunately I don't know which arrival point in Foshan would be closest to your hotel) then a taxi to your hotel. Have your hotel name and address printed in Chinese characters for the benefit of all.

Take the GoGoBus departure to Foshan at 1245 for 220 HKD, alight at Foshan Hotel. Should you miss that, the next departure is at 1445.

We are three of us arriving at Honkkong Airport on 4th Oct 2009 Sunday. We have to reach Fortuna Hotel in Foshan. Could you advise us on the fastest way to reach Fortuna.

Or you can take GOGOBUS at 08:50 / 14:45 / 18:45, it arrives diretcly to Fortuna
I think you can print or write the Chinese name of Fortuna down and show it to the people there to get more details. The name of the hotel will be: 财神酒店. It's in Shunde District, Foshan.

I am arriving in Hong Kong at 5:45 PM (17:45) on a direct flight from Chicago- will I have time to make a bus to Foshan City that evening?
The latest bus I see from Hong Kong to Foshan (using www.hongkongairport.com) is at 7:55 (19:55).
I am staying at the Foshan Golden Sun Hotel in Sanshui, Foshan city.

want to travel directly to Foshan by ferry can you please inform the departure timings from HK aiport and the arrival to Foshan.
