Generally speaking , the wholesale markets in china start business at around 0930-1000am and finish business at around 1800-1900pm each day . They nearly work 365 days a year except spring festival holidays .

GUEST16149 I am planning to visit Guangzhou around 10th of June 2013 for Lighting Exhibition. I also plan to buy some electronic stuff for personal use such as a laptop, a 32" LED TV and a Roomba floor vaccum cleaner. What are the best places where these are available? Can we bargain at these places or are they at fixed prices? Generally how much discount do they give? Also can I pay using my International credit / debit card or do I have to pay in RMB / USD. Thanks for the information.

Except the Lighting Exhibition, i would like to suggest you to visit huanan lighting products wholesale market in Foshan as well . This market is huge and it has all the things you need such as LED ,down lights , lighting fixtures .etc. For TV and other electronics ,just check out haiying electronics market .Generally speaking , the shops only accept RMB cash and not credit cards here .Bargain is of course a must .Happy exploring guys .

GUEST16153 Thanks for the information. Can I bring in Indian currency (Indian Ruppees)and get it exchanged at the airport? I am planning to get equivalent of around 5000 Yuan for my local purchases. Would there be any problem for exchanging Indian currency at the airport? Or do they deal only in US dollars? Thanks once again.
