I am cosidering writing a book on Zhanjiang because I am interested in the history of Indochina and odly enough at one point Zhanjiang was called " Kouang Tcheou Wan" when it was a part of French Indochina . It was a " Leasehold until WW11 When taken over by the Japanese . I have many old colonial images of Zhanjiang and will shortly have published a monograph on the place .. but a Book ? Not sure... depends indeed if there are any old colonial buildings left .. I think there are some.. the cathedral , a light house etc . You can find out who I am by going to GOOGLE . There are two Joel Montagues .. one races cars .. I am the other .. public health officer ,now two books etc . If there is anybody who speaks English ( Chinese) who knows OLD COLONIAL Chikan , the old town it might be worth my coming . Are there any archives .
