Supoose you have promised to meet sb or have dinner with him/her and you suddenly don't want to see him/her or have dinner, what kinds of excuses do you usually use?

One of my male friends usually say " I am too busy with my work" or " Sorry, I forgot. When I realized, I tried to call you but my cellphone battery is dead". My other friends and I have got used to this because he used this excuse too much.

So I am thinking what kinds of excuses other guys use. Would you like to tell me?

GUEST2412 BBQQ, I have heard the same excuse too much like you. You can punish him by doing what he did to you.

Headaches are usually good one.

Yes, good one. But don't use it too much. Otherwise, your friends will send you to the hospital, hehe.

Well, if you really have something urgent to deal with, just tell your friend that you can't keep the appointment because you have smoething urgent to do. I think that your friend will forgive you. And please don't be a liar. A good guy never lie to his friends.

Being single, my married friends invite me to their holiday gatherings such as Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. For some reason, they think that since I am single, I will be so bored on holidays hehe... If they only know.... If there is no conflict with my schedule, I would consider it. But if I can't make it, I say so right away. And I appreciate their understanding. They are still my friends hehe... ^_^"

Don't try to find excuse(s). Tell the truth. It's good if you could call beforehand. But if one needs to create an excuse, perhaps he can say: the wall of my house collapsed and I couldn't get out nor could call 911.
