Why? Modern Chinese women want to master their own lives and live independently and freely. On the other hand, some of them choose to be single because of their sexual orientations. A survey by a Chinese magazine claims that 4% of the participants are still single because of their sexual orientations. Actually, they are lesbians. In Shanghai, 4.75% of single women are lesbians, the survey says. Chinese men will be worried or upset after reading this. I don’t remember who said this: There will be 20 million bachelors in China by 2020. Now more and more modern women choose to be single. How can those single Chinese men find their wives?

Why? Modern Chinese women want to master their own lives and live independently and freely. On the other hand, some of them choose to be single because of their sexual orientations. A survey by a Chinese magazine claims that 4% of the participants are still single because of their sexual orientations. Actually, they are lesbians. In Shanghai, 4.75% of single women are lesbians, the survey says.

Chinese men will be worried or upset after reading this. I don’t remember who said this: There will be 20 million bachelors in China by 2020. Now more and more modern women choose to be single. How can those single Chinese men find their wives?

GUEST50251	Magazine surveys are the most unreliable source of statistics. What they mean is that a % of their readers who bothered to respond might be lesbians. Many respondees make up answers for fun, and their readership is probably a tiny proportion of the Shanghai population.

Then what sources are the most reliable? It's impossible for us to ask every Chinese women in China and then make a conclusion.

GUEST50251	There are no relaible sources of statistics. By wording the questions in a particular way statisticians can skew a poll to provide any answer they (or their clients) desire. Very popular technique used by politicians.

The scholars and students also do it when they write essays.
