yes! I encountered the same problem in Shenzhen. I went to a big massage parlor near the Luohu train station. The masseuse was just simply massage and not professional at all, half way her phone ring, she went out around 5 mins, and finish the massage less than 120 mins. I signed her a RMB50 tips, she said she never got so little tips before and just look at me as if I need to top up some more for the tips......just bad experience....

Maybe masseuse will hate me. I never give any tips because it is not compulsory. Like the one in Dongmen, SZ, the Blind Massage Academy. If the proprietor thinks, the masseuse is paid very low, then he should charge more to the customers thus the masseuse gets better pay. That's why I prefer going to professional masseuse, like in Guangzhou or Shunde, done by traditional doctors charged me RMB80 or RMB90 per hour but I know I get what I paid for. No need to give tips.

That sounds nice. But do keep it as a secret. If the masseuse's boss knows he does part-time job outside, he might get fired. Some bosses don't allow their staff to do part time jobs.
