| There are things still free or at a minimal fee, such as beaches at Dameisha, and RMB15 for Xiaomeisha (both in Shenzhen). Beijing is a great tourist attraction, even a guide costs more than the entrance fee. At one time I was asked RMB400 for a guide from Niu Jie to Tiananmen Square, which I could easily take Metro subway for RMB2 to any one destination. Wan |

| Wan, there are some attractions that are open to the public for free too, for example, parks and museums. But I am not interested in them. Wan, they are not formal tour guides. Be careful and do not be ripped off. That's why I prefer to do some lessons before visiting a place. At least, I can avoid some travel traps. |
