After checking his license carefully, he even started to doubt whether he was hermaphrodite. He found out that there was “M&F” field. As an English speaking man, he realized that it was a big mistake. It should have been “M/F”, “Gender” or “Sex”. By the way, “the date of birth” was written as “Birthday”. Actually, this mistake comes up in many Chinese driver licenses too. So far, no Chinese officials respond to him after he found out the mistake.

Believe it or not, the mistake will be still there even it was reported by the media.

So, do you understand it well when you are in China? I know both Chinese and English, so it is so funny to read it.

I have no experience to check if it happens also in other countries. But in China, it seems no one would make the final action to correct it. I am wondering if foreigners can understand the bilingual electronic stop reporting on the city bus or metro systems.
