It may not cost much because it is not necessary to use it through all night. I configure an application to my air-conditioner so that it only works 3 hours with 1.5 hours each at fixed times.

Anyway, the cost is worthy comparing with a good sleep.

It costs 0.49 yuan per kilowatt hour at my home. It's cheaper compared with the apartment I stayed at in Xian.

raindrop: ya you are right sometimes it can be too noisy but I
practise a lot of yoga and other meditation practises (I meditate daily!) which helps me to switch off in a snap at any given time. I can just ignore any other outside noise and read the book in a relaxed state.

I live on the seventh floor beside a road. It is very noisy at night. Even you close the window, you can still hear the noise. It's been two years and I think I am used to the noise.

Wow, sound so great! I should learn this asap.
I had joined in yoga class a year before, but failed to keep quiet and breathe smoothly for a time longer than few minutes with the same pose. I know clearly it is good for me, but ...

It is better for you to practice Yoga too. I tried to wear ear plugs, but it is uncomfortable.

Silicone earplugs also good, and they become expensive when hospitals are using them.
