I found a problem of myself now, compared with my boyfriend who loves cups as I mentioned just now in other post, I am interested in collecting spoons.

I used to collect forks and spoons before, of various kinds, from my travel. Some are wooden ones.

Wan, how many spoons and forks have you collected? I just have several lovely cups. They were given to me as gift. You know, Nestle or Maxwell House Instant Coffee are sold with lovely cups. It's promotion. But the cups are really nice.

Silver plated spoons are only for display. I'd prefer stainless steel ones because they can be both, for display as well as to be used when more people come for meals. There are of course varous types of spoons; for sopu, the spoon is rounder in shape.

Silver plated spoons? I have never saw this before. They exist only in rich families in ancient China or minorities, maybe we can see it from museums. I think silver ones may not as good as stainless spoons for use in daily life now.

During my childhood, we used spoons made from copper/brass. Copper fork and spoon, copper ladle, and even copper pots. Big copper cauldron for bigger feast.
