| You maybe right, dear Sunnydream, what the boy did was foolish but then what do we expect from 15-year old boy? What worry me most is a lot of people are taking things to the extreme line where they became bystanders and onlookers. See what happened to Yue Yue in Foshan? 18 persons just looked on until a garbage ayi took the toddler in her arms. Some of them blamed on the infamous Nanjing Judge. I won't risk myself to fight against house on fire, but if the Yue Yue incident happened in front of my eyes, I won't think of the court precedence, neither the infamous Nanjing Judge nor the Beijing King, I would help her even by doing that landed me in jail. It saddens me very much. Wan |

| You maybe right, dear Sunnydream, what the boy did was foolish but then what do we expect from 15-year old boy? You are right. A 15 years old boy has his own thoughts no matter his thoughts are mature or not. Lai Ning was brave but I do not encourage all students to learn from him. In my future, I will teach my kid that he/she has to ensure his/her own safety before helping others. |

| We need to share this, not individually, then we can see how beautiful life is. Today people become individuals and no longer as as a group in this "vicious" society. People don't really care for others anymore but themselves, as individuals. Wan |

| Wan, Selfishness is humans' nature. Only does danger come, they will unite to survive. |

| Well i think that we should praise him, he could have said "screw them i m in pain" and could have driven into another car. People have the choice, police officer have the choice, fire fighters have the choice to do it or not. If a fire fighter saves a person doesn't he deserves praise? Or was it just his job? I think that the working class dont get enough praise for things they do. I dont say that we should worship them, just tell them what a good job they did and thank them with all our heart. But now that he is dead, maybe give the praise to his family who raised him. Though i m not sure how he "sacrificed" himself to save the people, for me it sounds like that he would have died either way. |

| Praised his family for raising him? Nobody, people may think, why praise his family? It's their job and responsibility to raise a good son (pun intended). Wan |

He did his best to stop the bus on the express way. If he failed, a serious accident might have occured and the passengers might be injured or killed. |

| We want change but we estranged ourselves from the societal reforms because we thought it's someone's responsibility and became bystanders and onlookers. As per my responses, I believe we should praise someone's deeds although it may look like his/her responsibility, just like we praise and give thanks to our parents for upbringing us to be as we are today. It will be as part of the carrots for a better society. Wan |

Yeah but would he have survived if he didn't try his best to save the people? I think that either way he would have died, so its not a sacrifice, its "making the best out of a bad situation" |

You are right. His behavior is not a sacrifice but "making the best out of a bad situation". |
