I usually add this when I cook dishes. It's dried red chili. Heat some edible oil, put dried red chili in and then put vegetables in and fry them together. It also can be milled into chili powder. Then you can pour hot vegetable oil over it. It smells fragrant.

I've tried once when I was in Beijing in October 2010. At that time my friend, who held a Malay Chair Study in BFSU treated me somewhere in Niujie. It's not so hot but nice and crispy.

Yes, especially when we eat it in summer! I like all spicy dishes. Hotpot is my favorite and I join with my sisters to eat it every month.

Maybe you can get the chili in HK, I saw once near the Causeway Bay wet market.

Yes, if you have stomach problem (gastrointestinal) or gastritis, better abstain from eating chili.

In my village (hometown) we have special plant/herb for those having this problem. The fruit looks like lime but the taste not that sour. Usually the leaf is boiled and drink one cup a day.
