Recently, a letter of resignation has attracted many people’s attention. In this letter of resignation, he wrote ‘small factory, fewer girls and difficult to find a girlfriend’ as his reason to leave. One of his directors replied ‘It is your fault that you can’t find a girlfriend. Please do not complain’.

Well, this letter is written by a boy who was born in 1990s. People who were born in 1990s are totally different from those born in 1980s. The following are some excuses of resignation used by people born in 1990s.

No.1 It is too crowded on the subway when I am on my way to our company.
No.2 The dorm isn’t equipped with internet. Some Chinese employers offer dorms to their workers.
No.3 The food in the cafeteria doesn’t taste very well.
No.4 I have money to pay for the house rental. It’s a girl’s excuse to resign. She stayed at an apartment for almost a year until she had no money to pay for the rental. Then she started to work. After she earned money to pay the rental, she left.

Compared with those who write letters of resignation, some just leave without informing their bosses. When they leave, they turn off their cellphones. No one is able to contact them.

Do we need to provide or cite reason(s) when we want to resign? I don't know as I don't have the experience. My friend who was a Deputy Director in one of the government's departments just sent his resignation letter informing the date it comes into force.

Wan,

In the third line, he wrote why he resigned. Is your friend a Malaysian or a Chinese? I have seen many letters of resignation on the internet. Most guys state why they decide to resign.

Well, i remember that i resigned after around a year because i hate it to be in an office. It's not my think to be a sales manager or marketing manager (did both)
But i wrote in my letter of resignation that i wanted to change the career (which i did)
Yeah, i everytime thought that i m too young, but i already can say "dumb" kids...

That is so true! those who born in 1990s lives a better life than those born in 1980s. They are most likely to be tender, and can not endure such hardship of a job.
Chinese should learn from the foreigners on child education. Parents and grandparents spoil their only child in family. Bad consequence of One Child Policy ever.

Ok. Maybe the situations in Malaysia and China are different. Chinese bosses want to know why you resign.

In China, people are required to provide or cite reason when they want to resign. To write in a resignation or at least, the employer will talk with you on that.

If we don't provide reason(s) we can't resign? Or our resignation cannot be accepted?

yes, probably, the employer will not accept this letter of resignation if you did not provide any reason. Maybe make problem to offer the release letter as well.

Laugh, sending a resignation letter is a courtesy instead of disappearing without trace. Maybe some new employers need a letter of release from the previous employers while some companies could never be bothered.
