In Guiyang city of Guizhou Province, over 10 residential buildings are packed in the room just under a bridge. See the photo below. If don’t look carefully, you may take the buildings as bridge piers. Can you image such a life under the bridge, with vehicles screaming past and floors shuddering all the time?

Who chose to build viaduct here? Why didn't they move out the residents first?

I used to live right next to the train tracks. All night long I could not get any sleep! this was when I lived in the US so yes I feel sorry for people who have to live like that!

although I might have prefered living under a highway bridge instead of next to to the train tracks when I did! lol!

GUEST17115 One time I rented an apartment right behind a fire station. There were sirens 24/7. needless to say, I moved out very quickly.

oh sorry for the confusion there guest70194; it simply means drive me insane as in drive me crazy not literally of course but in a meaning it would cause me to get "really annoyed" might be the best way to put it within this context.

GUESTYAN mark. why do u choose to live near the fire station that make u insane. noise shortens the life due to the uneasiness. when u are down. exercise can boost the spirit. when feel uneasy. go to church when u r unable to resolve on ur own... i guess there is better way that suits people individully...

Yes guestyan; an all above strategy is what I strive for in everyday life. I live in a very quiet neighbourhood now just on the outskirts of the big city centre here so no noise problems now! lol. but yes I exercise daily to keep healthy. run everyday, ride my bicycle everyday. go to the gym as much as I can, at least three times a week and I swim too!

religion is also very important to me and I believe that my Buddhist faith keeps me and my family grounded, gives me personal peace and keeps me in good spirits on top of that!

GUEST70194 Health, fullness in thoughts, mood stability and high spirits...wow, mark , all of those are admirable and the gifts from the God.

mark, how do u bridge the gap between the east and the west because i rarely see the dutch hang around buddhist temple. It sounds funny, joker.
