A Chinese dad quarreled with his wife and then his wife went away. After a while, his little son cried loudly. He became distraught and didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, he saw the milk powder can and realized that his son was hungry. Then he wanted to reconstitute milk power for his son. But he didn’t know to do it. Thus, he called the police and said “My wife left home. My son is hungry and keeps crying. What can I do?”

The police was shocked and then asked a female police to help him. She taught him how to reconstitute milk power and then asked him to apologize to his wife through his cellphone. He promised his wife that he would fulfill his responsibility to take care of his wife and son. Afterwards, his wife came back.

You may not know that this guy can’t do any family chores. He was born in 1990. Recently, he had a son who was just 2 months old. He never helped his wife take care of his son. That day, his wife was too busy and asked him to help her. He did nothing right and his wife scolded him. He told her wife “It’s your job to do these things because you are a woman.” His wife became angry and left home.

Jimmyb, I sense that it is a piece of fake news.

I believe that he can't be illiterate. He found the milk can and there should be instructions on how to reconstitute the powder on the milk can. It's easy for him to read it and follow the steps to reconstitute the milk powder.

Usually on the can only mentions the contents and the ingredients. The milk formula for infant usually has a separate booklet attached inside the can informing how to prepare the milk.

Wan,

You must be a good father. In China, the instructions are usually printed on the milk powder can. If you read it carefully, you will know how to reconstitute milk powder.

BBQQ,

I doubted this piece of news too. Then I searched on the internet and found that there were some parents who didn't know how to reconstitute milk powder for their babies.

I don't know if they notice the instructions on the milk powder can.

I haven't seen milk powder infant formula in China but products by Wyeth, or even Nestle's Lactogen have the instructions on a separate booklet. Now Australia has discontinued producing Lactogen Infant formula but not other countries.

Last week, I paid a visit to my college classmate. His wife is pregnant. I saw her drink milk powder for pregnant women. And She confirmed there was no booklet. The milk powder is made in China.

Wan, I guess the booklet in the products by Wyeth, Nestle and other foreign brands must be written in English. Today, many parents buy milk powder from abroad. Can they understand what the booklet says?

Nowadays many Chinese able to speak, read and write English, Jimmy. Milk powder for infant usually has booklet, but milk powder for adults doesn't.

Wan, I am not a father yet so that I know little about milk powder. Thanks for telling me this.

I think this guy shouldn't get married. He is an adult in appearance but a little boy in mind.

I used to help my brother no. 4 to prepare milk (instant formula) for his eldest daughter. At that time I was 14. The smallest milk can in those days was S-26 brand by Wyeth. I have to follow the amount of milk and water recommended from the booklet because if extra milk may cause the infant constipation if more water may cause loose bowel.
