I met one American in Gongbei, Zhuhai that spoke fluent Taishan dialect. He treated me lamian noodles not far from Friendship Hotel.

Can't believe it. How could he master the Taishan dialect just in six months? Is he an ABC?

Dear Cherry, you asked me how long he has been staying in China but you didn't ask how long he practised Cantonese. His wife is a Chinese from Taishan who lives in USA. They have been married for 7 years. Haha.
