Did you eat when you were in China? Actually, many places in China have snacks made of beef. Wan, go to Inner Mongolia to taste some dried beef. They taste very well.

I just heard about Mad Cow disease. Didn't know about gouty arthritis. Beef tastes better than pork. And the prices are expensive too.

Beef is considered as red meat. Those having gout are not recommended to consume red meat. Also avoid all kinds of beans.

Recently, H7N9 bird flu has outbroken in some cities of China. Some people have died because of it. Shanghai has killed many chickens, ducks etc. And the poultry markets have been closed too.

BBQQ. I am told some farmers are still selling chicken and other birds because they don't want to lose so much, and customers still want to eat chicken although they know the probable outcome. For the time being, due to the outbreak of bird flu, try to stay away from eating birds and fowls.
