It's very kind of you, thank you very much in advance. I am contemplating either to go this week or later days when it is more cooling. Now I am already on leave until August 11th.

You are welcome, Wan. I should remind you that there are some buses that are not equipped with air-conditioners in Xian. It's unbearable for a tourist to take these buses.

took airport bus from Xianyang International to Bell Tower for CNY26. I like Thailand look-a-like tuktuk or three-wheeler that zigzagging around Xi'an city.

Thailand look-a-like tuktuk or three-wheeler refers to Mo Di (摩的). It can accommodate two persons. However, it's not a safe transportation tool. I suggest you don't take it many times.

During the peak hours, you may see many people who drive motorcycles. Some of them driver their own motorcycles. Some just drive those people who can't get on the buses to their companies. It's more expensive than buses.

With buses without air-conditioner? I'd prefer three wheeler or tricycle. Now I'm in Zhengzhou and also managed to visit Kaifeng. It reminded me of the old Judge Bao Zheng of Song Dynasty.

Wan,

I think you already saw the buses without air-conditioners in Xian. The three wheller or tricycles are not allowed to run inside of the second ring road of Xian. Last night, I saw three wheelers were seized by the city guards (Chengguan) outside of the South Gate of the CIty Wall. The drivers and some passers-by surrounded the city guards.

I don't know if the drivers get their three-wheelers back.

It's worth an experience plying along the small streets of the night markets in the Hui compound, and it's only 4 Yuan. I wonder if they ever had collision between one another.

Wan,

They are very experienced drivers. They drive on the same route everyday. I don't know if you took the rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong. The Hutong is narrow and there are many rickshaws. I didn't hear they collided.

CNY 4 is not expensive if they take you to visit the narrow streets in Hui Quarter.

A lot of pomegranate and walnuts on sale. How I wish I could invite you for dinner and perhaps we can exchange views and ideas about life in Xi'an. I did have a good time meeting with some locals over dinner. The room was quite big enough for 15 of us.

Wan,

The cured beef is sold the Xiyangshi lane if I remember it correctly. In fact, you can find it in the supermarket. Very expensive. Here is another snack "Hong Hong Fried Rice". It tastes nice.

It was very hot yesterday and the day before yesterday. I guess the temperature is over 40 centigrade degrees.
