Two young girls used to approach me telling me that they lost their luggage and didn't have money to buy tickets to go home. It was cold at night and they were still loitering along the streets of Futian district. I told them not to worry, I could provide them a simple cheap accommodation and tomorrow morning I would buy for them the train tickets. They excused themselves, and said would be back after ten minutes. I waited for half an hour but they didn't come back, so I went back to my hotel room.

Wan,

They might feel that you are more dangerous than them. Why did a stranger provide accommodation and train tickets for them?

I think they probably wanted money and not really to buy tickets. It also happened in Kuala Lumpur. I understood their modus operandi. If I bought the tickets, I would make sure they board the train.

Wan,

Suddenly, I realize that they are the same as the beggars. The beggars don't acccept food from you. They also want the money.
