 | As for learning Chinese, some people are really fond of some Chinese songs. My fellows, do you listen to Chinese songs? Can you sing them and understand the lyrics? If you have some favourite songs, please share them with us. Personally, I am fond of Chyi Yu's Olive Tree and Bird and Fish. Here is the video of Olive Tree and its lyrics. | Palphh, Chyi Yu's songs are also old. It doesn't matter. Aas long as you enjoy them, that is ok. Gary, just have a try. When I was learning English, my teacher told me that we should listen to English songs to practice our listening skills. To be honest, it is very hard because the singer usually sing very quickly. However, it was proved later that listening to English songs was really helpful. I remembered two songs clearly, Yesterday Once More and Careless Whisper. Both are very good. |

| Thank you for the songs, they are good for the student to translate, most of the characters are high in the frequency table and there is plenty of repetition. |

| I agree. Learning Chinese by learning songs is a great idea. Can you guys share the lyrics in Pinyin as well? I wonder if an entire Web site on beautiful Chinese songs would be a great idea. |
