According to their latest post (posted at 08:02 this morning), they are in Bombay in India currently. Sometimes, things don't go as smooth as we thought. They might have met some problems on their way. |

The Indian customs didn't give a reason. Eventually, they contacted China Embassy and then their cars were returned. When they tried to refuel their cars, the Indian gasoline station refused to refuel their cars. And also, two or three of them failed to get their visas ready so they withdrew from the trip. |

| I think they are not well prepared. Permission and visas should be applied and cleared before embarking on a journey, and don't take for granted and expect for a VoA. Fuel is always an issue because some countries the government subsidises its cost. Wan |

Another reason, sometimes you are refused without a reason. Visa to them is a difficult issue. That "He" was refused in this country doesn't mean that he won't get his visa to enter another country. Some members just 'left' occasionally. I am happy that they don't give up though they meet many upexpected problems. |

| Update: They arrived in Pakistan on July 25. Pakistani are very friendly and responsible. They were escorted by Pakistani Army. Before setting off, they have 12 members. Currently, there are just six people in the team. One withdrew for sickness, another for work. The other four didn't get their visas to Pakistan. But they were temporarily absent. |

| Still I think they are not well prepared. One withdrew citing of work. He should have known that their stint will be 500 days, then why tell can't continue because of work? Usually the validity of single entry visa is within 3 months, but they could apply or ask special permission in advance from the embassies and consulate generals in China before embarking the journey. Then they will know which country they could and should go. Wan |

| Well, they probably thought that everything was ok before embarking their journey. But visa issue is too difficult. You never know whether you will get even you prepare everything they require. |

| I used to do that, dear Lonely. I called and even went to all intended embassies, then I would know what to expect. Wan |
