![]() | How about your trip, Wan? I read your post in Chitter Chatter. If you have time, you may visit Chengdu. It's also a nice city. |

![]() | Dear BBQQ Besides the the usual cities in Guagtdong, I managed to go to Xi'an and Zhengzhou only, both cities for 7 days. I took train from Zhengzhou to Kaifeng. No wonder Kaifeng still remained as old city, even the train was also old and packed like sardine in the can. I did plan to visit Sichuan but then some friends said at the moment it has some natural catastrophes so I shelved off my initial plan. One of my contacts formerly was a graduate frm the military university in Chengdu. Wan |

I used to take green-carriage trains when I went back to colleges. THere was no air-conditioners but fans. In summer, it's a great torture to take this train. |

![]() | Haha, it smells like chicken coop. More people standing than sitting, and there are people who never stop smoking even in a crowded coach. Slowly I'm going back to Song Dynasty. Wan |

![]() | Wan, There was no train in the Song Dynasty. Why not stop the men who smoked in the public area? Anyway, it's good to take such a train in winter. It's smelly but warm. |

![]() | Of course there's no train during Song Dynasty. The train moved slowly and I could see the remnants of the past. The palace of the emperor surrounded by the man-made lake, just like the castle in Scotland. I used to visit one of the castles along the Royal Mile of Edinburgh where they claimed the burning of witches on stakes. I could feel some eery feeling. Wan |
