I didn't see any real castle in my life in the past. I am hoping that I can have a chance to visit real castles abroad.

Why are most castles in Europe? If there are some famous ones in Asia, I don't need to spend too much money visiting them.

We have one in Malaysia, named Kelly's Castle, but not really those big castles in Great Britain. Formerly it was built and belonged to a British aristocrat that lived in Malaysia with his family.

Mark,

I am afraid that you can't find any castle that resembles anyone in the European countries in China. I suggest you visit some typical compounds in Shanxi Province. You will have a totally different experience. I visited Wang's Compound in 2011. It was amazing.

Better hire a narrator at the scene. Otherwise, it's too difficult to understand its structure and history.

Mark,

You are welcome. I think you might have been to the Forbidden City before. So, I won't introduce it to you. The local residences are really worth a visit. By the way, you might learn something about Chinese Feng Shui.

Dear BBQQ, I think there is an old palace of the emperor in Kaifeng where it is surrounded by man-made lake, and almost looked like a castle. Only it does not have a drawbridge.

Wan,

Is it (the one in Kaifeng) built in European styple? The Chinese emperors prefer to live in palace. The Forbidden City is a good example.
