Yes, castles and palaces are built for the rulers (emperors or empresses) and noble people.

Yes, they just confine themselves in a sealed city and induldge themselves in luxurious life. To some extent, it just looks like a nice prison.

I think the British castle has moat while the Spanish castle doesn't have but then I don't wish to generalise, because I didn't much, only a few places.
