Do you mean changing the shutter or resetting the shutter count? I was told that some people could reset the shutter count by using a special software.

I don't know how much it costs to change a shutter in China. According to the information found on the internet, it costs around CNY 1000 if you ask the Canon after service shops to do it. If you ask some camera men to do it, you need to pay around CNY 500.

Almost the same as in Malaysia. About RMB600 if done at the Canon Service Outlet.

I am curious why your shutter broke down. Did you use your camera too frequently? Or was there a defect on the shutter? Canon claims that 60D shutter life is 100000 times.

It's not broken down shutter, it has shutter count where other camera probably doesn't have. I used Pentax when I was young then switched to Nikon (F2AS, FE and F3). With the coming of digital, I bought Canon.

Wan,

I still don't know what's wrong with your camera. It's easy for us to see how much times the shutter you have used. The panda exif is nice. We can see the shutter count in the exif info. But I do believe that there is such a software that they can use to rewrite the shutter count. Nikon has such a software. It has been leaked on the internet. I downloaded it and it really worked.

Recently one German expat wants to sell his old Hasselblad and I'm still thinking. It's a good camera.

Definitely, it's a good one. It's much more expensive than Canon or Nikon. I can't afford it.

Canon also expensive, dear BBQQ. Just look at 5D Mark III, even the body alone is more than RMB20k.

But it is still less expensive than Hasselblad. A Hasselblad can cost more than 100000 RMB.

Not a used one, dear BBQQ. He's offering me at RMB15k but then I already have a few and I need to use money for other things. Maybe he has sold the camera to others.
