Hong Kong

Situated in the southeast of China and known as "the pearl of the Orient", Hong Kong is a popular tourist attraction. This city has a long history and was ruled by Great Britain from 1842 to 1997. Upon Hong Kong's return to China in 1997, it was made a Special Administrative Region.

Hubei

Hubei Province is situated in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and to the north of Dongting Lake. Hubei has said to be one of the places where the Chinese people originated. Today many minority ethnic groups live in this area including: Miao, Tujia, Dong and others. Ancient towers, grottoes, city remains and an imperial mausoleum can be found in the province.

Hunan

Located in the south central part of China's mainland, Hunan has been a major center of Chinese agriculture, growing rice, tea, and oranges. The capital of Hunan province is Changsha, a historical and tour center. The highlight well worth a visit is Dongting Lake, in Yueyang City.

Major Cities: Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Yueyang, Phoenix Town, Hengyang

Inner Mongolia

Inner Mongolia is the third largest Chinese province. Many ethnic groups live in this area including Mongolian, Daur, Oroqen, Ewenki, Hui, Han, Korea and Manchu. Hohhot is the capital of Inner Mongolia. Inner Mongolia has unique scenery, a long history and brilliant culture. What is the most attractive is its natural beauty and vast grasslands.

Major Cities: Hohhot, Baotou

Jiangsu

Jiangsu is located in the east of China. Two great rivers flow through the whole province: Yangtze River from the west to east and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal from the north to south. Three main cities in this province should be the best places to visit: Nanjing, its capital, Suzhou, named "Paradise on earth", and Wuxi, where you will find the famous Taihu Lake.

Jiangxi

Situated in the southern China, Jiangxi Province has a warm and humid climate with cold winters and cool springs followed by hot summers and dry autumns that each determines its four distinct seasons. The beauty of its misty mountains and fresh water lakes will enchant you. The highlight of Jiangxi travel should be Jingdezhen, which is known as the ' Porcelain Capital of China'.

Jilin

Situated in the northeast of China, Jilin is known as an area for winter sports and provides some of the best ski resorts in China. In addition, Jilin has many natural and historical attractions to entertain visitors. Prominent among these is Changbai Mountain.

Liaoning

Liaoning Province, often called "the Golden Triangle" because of its superior geographical location. It has played an important role both in commerce and military strategy throughout history. Shenyang is the capital city. Shenyang Imperial Palace captivates travelers the most but a number of other famous tombs should not be missed.

Major Cities: Dalian, Shenyang

Macau

Having as its neighbors Guangdong Province in north and Hong Kong in east, Macau has a very dense population despite its limited space. It is a well-known casino and tourism city. And these form the main sources of income for Macau. For some people, it is the best place to enjoy and relax.

Ningxia

Ningxia is in the northwest of China. It is one of the five ethnic minority autonomous regions in China. One third of the population in this region is Hui minority people. Yinchuan, the capital of this region, has the 1500-year-old Haibao Pagoda, the West Xia Imperial Tombs known as the "Pyramids of China", something no traveler should miss.

Qinghai

Located in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in western China, Qinghai covers an area of 720,000 square kilometers, which makes it the fourth largest province in the country. The traditional festivities of the different minority ethnic groups, their unique cultures and folk traditions will fascinate you.

Shaanxi

Located in the very heart of China, Shaanxi Province is one of the most important cradles of ancient Chinese civilization because of its rich history, cultural relics and ruins. So Shaanxi is called the "authentic history museum" of China. There are many historic cities and places to be seen.

Shandong

Shandong, with a history of more than 5,000 years, is considered one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. Being the home of a large number of historical figures, Shandong is also famous for its connection with Confucius and his Confucianism, the pillar of traditional Chinese culture that has also exerted an influence worldwide.
