After a long day out I discovered a new bar in front of the Sheraton I was staying. Even the hotel was old the bar looked pretty new and with many expats to hang out with. i just visit the ancient town of Xing'an , 40km in the east of Guilin .
It is a very nice destination , with a lot of thinghs to do . 
you can walk hours (days !!) along the canal , it has very beautyful and pitoresck places.

There is nothing much to see in Guilin itself. The real place to visit is Yangshuo. The scenic views along the river or road to Ynagshuo will amaze anyone.  If you plan to visit yangshuo do not spend time looking at rock formation in Guilin. Just skip it.
